I’m a bookbinder and graphic designer currently studying at ArtEZ University of the Arts. I’m particularly interested in book design, printed matter, archiving, bookbinding and have a deep passion for traditional crafts. I
enjoy a collaborative creative process. My work is driven by a commitment to craftsmanship, with a keen eye for detail, colour combinations and clarity of design. Whether it’s crafting custom books, designing layouts, or preserving the beauty of traditional techniques, my goal is always to produce work that is both functional and visually compelling.

Mimeograph print
DATE: February 2023
DESIGN: Anne-Sophie Berting
PRINTING: Mimeograph
SIZE: 330mm x 229mm
A mimeograph print made a one-day workshop given by Erwin Blok. Using 4 different mimeograph presses I created a cascading gradient.
I was inspired by the old machinery and hands-on technique used to be able to make these types of print. I wanted to juxtapose the old technique with a timeless design and decided to go for a geometric cascading gradient. Erwin Blok helped turn the 4 layers of gradient into 4 different Riso masters. We then ran a stack of paper through 4 different mimeographs presses to layer the individual colours of ink onto each other.
